Description

🧠 Can your smartwatch help detect a brain disorder before it’s too late?

Join us for a conversation with Stanford neuroengineer and PhD candidate Favour Nerrise as we explore the future of brain health, one that begins right at your home.

Favour is building AI tools and wearable tech that combine signals from everyday devices, like smartwatches and rings, indoor cameras, and even portable EEG headsets, to detect early signs of brain disorders like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. The goal? To offer low-cost, non-invasive, and continuous monitoring of brain, physiological, and mobility health, especially for those most at risk or in need of improving performance.

In this talk, we’ll dive into how explainable AI, wearable technologies, and neuroscience are coming together to decode movement, sleep, and other import health indicators in ways clinicians can’t always catch. You’ll learn how this work could reshape early diagnosis and intervention to make healthcare more personalized, proactive, and equitable. 🧬⌚
